Breast Augmentation (Anatomical) 

For context, I am 22 years old, 59kg and 5ft 10″. My cup size was a 32A, and has been increased to a 32D.

Breast surgery is something I had wanted for a number of years, it is also something I had put a lot of research into. I had scoured the internet for almost a year, reading reviews, looking at endless ‘before/after’ photos, and different results. I saw numerous pages on social media, advertising the surgery with fake looking, airbrushed models. While surgery is an individual choice, I knew that I wanted a natural looking result. After seeing the results posted online by Mr Lam, with realistic images and of a similar body type to my own, I immediately knew I wanted to book for a consultation.

During the consultation, Mr Lam asked, and listened, to what it was I would like to achieve from the surgery; he showed me similar ‘before’ photos, followed by the ‘after’ results; I tried multiple implant shapes and sizes inside a sports bra, and he explained thoroughly the different results that would be achieved with each e.g., the difference between the round and tear drop style. He offered a range of sizes suitable for my body type, that would create the desired result. The extent of his knowledge was clear as he made sure I was aware of any potential risks that may occur as a result of the surgery, to ensure I made an informed decision. At no point did I feel pressured or rushed into making the decision. During the consultation I made the decision to provisionally book a date for the surgery. I was unsure initially of the implant size I would like to choose, and Mr Lam suggested to use the ‘rice method’ at home to trial the different sizes available to me. Upon leaving, I was reassured that I could book a further consultation prior to the surgery should I wish to discuss this further with Mr Lam.

In the end, I did not book a further consultation, thus, surgery day was the next time I saw Mr Lam. This was my first operation, and I was incredibly nervous. However, Mr Lam took the time to discuss my final decision regarding implant size, he reassured me, and settled my nerves. Mr Lam was present as I came around from surgery, and again before I left the hospital. He provided me with detailed information on the recovery and aftercare, and a date for my review.

I found the recovery process a lot more comfortable than I had anticipated; I think this reflects Mr Lam’s performance in surgery. While it was uncomfortable, it was not unbearable, and I had completely stopped taking any pain medication on day 3 post op. I had arranged for 10 days annual leave at work, of which I am glad, as I feel that gave my body sufficient time to recover. 14 days post surgery I was able to drive, and pick up light shopping bags. 6 weeks post surgery, I returned to the gym for light exercise.

My review with Mr Lam followed shortly after. He was pleased with the overall results, shape, and size of my breasts, and the healing of my scars. He took the time to listen and ask questions concerning my thoughts and feelings following the procedure; was I happy with the result? Were there any changes to things such as my nipple sensation? How did I find the recovery process? And so on. It was clear from start to end that patient experience and satisfaction was a significantly important factor.

Upon writing this review, I am 12 weeks post op. My scars are virtually non-existent, I have resumed normal activity at the gym, and my breasts continue to look and feel better each week. I have never felt more confident in my body than what I do now. Overall, I feel more proportionate and feminine. The whole experience was a pleasure, and I cannot thank Mr Lam enough for changing my life. For anyone looking into getting breast augmentation, I could not recommend Mr Lam enough.

Breast Re-augmentation 

I required breast re-augmentation due to an implant rupture and my previous consultant had since retired. I was unsure which consultant to chose and therefore arranged appointments to meet 2 consultants. Within minutes of meeting Mr Lam, my decision was made. Mr Lam discussed my current issues with the ruptured implants and provided visual representation on slides to help my understanding. He also explained the procedure and the aftercare required in great detail. He has a great personality and completely puts you at ease and will gladly help with any questions or concerns. I have since had my surgery and couldn’t be happier, I highly recommend Mr Lam

Upper Eyelid Surgery 

I had both upper eyelid surgery and breast lift/enlargement at the same time (I had never been in hospital before apart from having 4 children – I am 57 years young). I was extremely nervous and wanted the procedures but didnt want to be in hospital twice so had them simultaneously, both by Mr Lam. When I came round from the anaesthetic, I couldnt believe how little pain I was in, in both areas, which presumably is down to the great work that was done by Mr Lam. I can’t recommend enough both the hospital itself including all staff which were very attentive at all times, and especially Mr Lam who made me feel totally at ease throughout. I have just been back for my 3 month check up and all scars have virtually disappeared and the only regret, which I know is something that is said all the time, is that I didnt have these procedures done years ago. If I was ever brave enough to have something else done, I would have no hesitation in contacting Mr Lam again.

Rhinoplasty Surgery 

Awesome, I cannot recommend more highly. My new nose is fabulous & what I always wanted. Little pain, NO BRUISING! Mr Lam and his team were fabulous, courteous, professional, confident, reassuring and BRILLIANT throughout!

Mastopexy (Breast Uplift) Surgery

Mr Lam is an approachable, friendly and professional surgeon. He understood my concerns and listened to what I wanted to achieve before providing a solution. I am over the moon with the results of my mastopexy surgery and I wouldn’t have to think twice about going back to Mr Lam for any future nips and tucks and I most certainly would recommend him to anyone interested in cosmetic surgery.

Breast Reduction Surgery  

I had an outstanding service from Mr Lam – I had my breast reduction in April 2019 and went from a 30G to 30D. At the time of writing this I am just over 12 weeks post-op. At my initial consultation, Mr Lam made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease through his calm temperament and humorous nature. He listened to what it was I was unhappy with and he was very informative, making sure I was fully knowledgeable about the operation itself, risks and aftercare. Soon after I booked in for my surgery because I was so sure I wanted him to do the op. Between my first consultation and the pre-op appointment I did my own additional research on breast reactions; looking at the experiences of people online who had the surgery to prepare myself. But I have to say, the concerns and worries I had developed through this were not true of the experience I had with Mr Lam. Due to the excellence of Mr Lam’s practice, I was not in any pain after the surgery but had a slightly tight chest for 6 days after the op. I have been surprised by the neatness of my scars after the op, and although I am waiting for these to fade, I am absolutely over the moon with my results and feel like a new woman with tonnes of confidence. I could not recommend this lovely man enough!

Combined Surgery Breast & Abdominal Surgery 

My experience with Dr Lam was amazing.
I had my surgery 12 weeks ago in July 2018 an abdominoplasty with muscle repair, mastopexy and bilateral breast augmentation combined surgery. After losing weight and breasting feeding my breast had shrunk and were asymmetry, I just didn’t feel normal at all and knew I needed to get sorted. From the very first consultation, I knew Mr Lam was the man to do my surgery and it was the easiest decision to make because he was very professional, informative, patient and listened to what I wanted to achieve and answered all my questions. I didn’t feel under pressure to decided and had several appointments before my final surgery day as I kept coming up with questions.
I know I’m not the easiest person to deal with because I worry a lot about things, but Mr Lam was able to address all my anxieties. He doesn’t just do procedures because you can afford them, he will do what is beneficial to you. I wanted liposuction, but he told me I did not need it which saved me money and my results are just perfect. I didn’t know I had a divarification which he identified on examination and now that he fixed it, I’m so happy with my flat tummy and normal breast size. My case was not easy because one breast was way too small and the other other needed a lift – now they are natural looking and a perfect size for my frame. My scars for both the breasts and tummy tuck are hardly noticeable and my whole recovery was smooth with no complications at all. I would most definitely recommend Mr. Lam to anyone wanting similar surgery. My Family and friends said I have healed very well. Mr Lam and His team are just awesome. My stay at Claremont was great, My family were well looked after through out my stay.

Breast Augmentation 

I had breast augmentation in May 2017, I have had two children, my breasts were very asymmetrical and tubular. I was so unhappy, had no confidence and hated my body!
Mr Lam was so professional, instantly filled me with confidence and was honest about the results I could expect and said it would be near impossible to achieve symmetry (other clinics had promised the moon on a stick)! I can honestly say it was the best decision of my life! My breasts are absolutely perfect! I had 400mls in one breast and 350mls in the other. They are so well balanced and symmetrical! I would only ever go to Mr Lam for any furture surgery (nose). I would recommend Mr Lam at every single opportunity.

Face & Necklift 

I saw Mr Lam about a neck and lower facelift. He talked me through the procedure and showed me in the mirror what I could expect. He answered all my questions and was totally realistic. The surgery went well with an overnight stay and was a lot faster recovery than I expected, the nursing staff were great and Mr Lam saw me the next day. I am really impressed with the outcome it’s even better than I thought and has given me my self confidence back. All the saggy skin is history everyone thinks I look really well . I would strongly recommend Mr Lam if you are thinking of this procedure. I can’t see any scars in front of my ears it’s amazing.

Breast Augmentation

I recently had breast augmentation surgery with Mr Lam and could not be happier with the results! I had wanted this operation for some time, as my body had developed and left my breasts behind! A friend of mine went elsewhere for the same procedure and although she had no problems, she did say it was painful and the dressings were really uncomfortable. I can honestly say that I experienced minimal pain and was pleased to wake up with small post op dressings and a pressure bra…if you’re looking for a surgeon you can trust, I highly recommend Mr. Lam!
