Ear Correction

Correction of prominent ears can usually be done under local anaesthetic for adult patients. This can be on just the one or both ears and minor asymmetry can be corrected this way. Bulky dressings are only in place for three days and then the ears can be left exposed as they heal.

Access is via an incision in the back of the ear to recreate the anti-helical fold thus pushing the ear backwards, as seen in this example below:
