The only quality assurance you have is a surgeon who is on the GMC’s Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery, ideally having practised within the NHS. The FRCS (Plast.) qualification ensures that your surgeon has spent at least 8 years in the speciality of plastic surgery.

We think it is essential to research and find out more about your surgery and the surgeon. Your surgery should be performed by a Plastic Surgeon who is on the GMC’s Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. This can be easily verified on the GMC’s website at There are various websites and the first point of reference we would recommend is that of BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons) at and British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons at Mr Lam is a Full Member of both associations, membership of which is only allowed after vigorous vetting.

Mr. Lam’s qualifications have been recognised by the Joint Committee in Higher Surgical Training (JCHST) at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. The award of CCST (Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training) for a UK trainee ensures that your surgeon has been through a rigorous training with regular assessments of competence and successful passing of the Intercollegiate FRCS (Plast.) examination before registration is permissible on the Specialist Register of the GMC (General Medical Council) as a Plastic Surgeon.

This accreditation allows you to be confident in the knowledge that Mr. Lam is thoroughly trained in all aspects of your experience as a patient of this practice. This is essential if you are seeking re-operative surgery having had a cosmetic operation elsewhere with unsatisfactory results. A fully trained reconstructive specialist is best equipped to deal with such problems.

Mr. Lam strives to ensure that all patients are given the best possible advice following an extensive preoperative assessment and we aim to ensure that they are fully aware of the implications and the benefits and potential risks of plastic surgery. If patients choose to proceed with plastic surgery we are committed to delivering the highest standard of perioperative care. Mr. Lam works to protocols based on proven best practice, using the latest techniques. Our results are shown in the patient galleries.

More importantly, your surgery will be carried out in Sheffield’s two leading private hospitals by Mr. Lam only and he will be responsible for all of your aftercare with many happy patients having posted online reviews of their experience.

If your surgeon has been personally recommended, then even better![/fusion_text][/one_full][/fullwidth]
